Responsibilities:

Participate on a project team of engineers involved in maintenance and development of voice and video client software for Cisco products, that may include any of the following list of responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and debug complex applications.
Contribute to small subsystem architecture design and write functional specs.
Write and/or provide input portions of design specs.
Develop low complexity, multiple modules of code (with supervision.)
Write major portions of unit, integration, and regression test plan.
Write complex automated test scripts.
Debug problems of moderate scope at the subsystem level.
Perform complex subsystem level unit, integration, and dev tests.
Identify and resolve problems found during internal verification testing at customer sites.
Participate in Escalation process..


Skills and Experience Required:

Successful candidates must have:

University degree in Computer Science (ETF, PMF, FON) and 1-2 years experience, or 2-4 years experience developing commercially available applications.
Experience with client/server development, network programming in a Windows environment.
Demonstrate successful programming on a real-time, multi-threaded, software product.
Solid understanding of: C++, GDI+, Win32, MFC, and Windows event-driven programming.
Understanding of Java, JNI will be considered as a plus
Proficient knowledge of tools and development environment, including: Windows OS and MS Visual Studio; preferred: Subversion, Code Collaborator
Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting and debugging complex software outlined above
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills: must be able to work well within a team, and across functional teams
Experience with audio or video applications a plus
Experience and comfort understanding, maintaining, and enhancing other people’s code
Must be creative and have an open mind for complex problems and forward-looking solutions


Personality:

Responsible (understand importance of meeting deadlines with good work quality)
Hard working and willing to prove himself
Team player but able to work independently on specific projects
Open-minded for learning new technologies and processes
Thinking outside the box (finding creative and sometimes unusual solutions)
Initiative in suggesting improvements in processes and the product
Self motivated
Positive attitude towards authorities
